Which Laser do we use?
We use the medical grade Polaris 1064 Long Pulsed Nd:YAG laser. Polaris have over 25 years of experience in the laser industry and are one of the UK's leading manufacturers of laser systems for medical applications. 1064 Nd:YAG is the only laser that is safe to treat darker skin tones, whilst still achieving amazing results on lighter skin.
All treatments are also carried out using The Polaris cold air skin cooling device, making the experience for you as comfortable as possible!
How does Laser Hair Removal work?
Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment (melanin) within the hair follicle and damaging it to inhibit future hair growth. The laser produces a single wavelength of light, this very concentrated beam of light energy is converted to heat which, when absorbed by the follicle causes it to shrink away and prevent it from regenerating.
With the lowest melanin absorption but greatest depth and penetration, the 1064nm Yag wavelength within our machine is ideal for darker skin types. Its depth also targets the root of the hair and is ideal for all areas of the body.
All of this results in a permanent reduction in hair and a very happy customer.
